This introductory overview will include a brief history of tarot, explore the structure of the

standard 78-card deck based on the Rider-Waite tarot, and consider various styles and methods of

reading the cards. We will also take a deep dive into The Hermit, the numerological tarot card for

2025, and discuss how to access and embody The Hermit’s energy as we navigate the year ahead.

Participants are welcome to bring their decks to class, though it’s not required.

Catherine LaSasso and Lisa DiDio have been reading tarot for most of their adult lives. They met

in late 2023 while offering readings at Soul Garden Holistic Healing and bonded over their love

of the cards. Last year, they combined forces to create a playful, illuminative series of classes,

Beginning Tarot: an Intuitive Approach. It was a hit and an absolute delight, so they followed up

with an intermediate offering. They continue to team teach tarot classes as well as hosting a

monthly 2-hour Tarot Salon, a community offering which is open to readers of all levels.
