The Portal Marketplace and Extravaganza is a step back into the Victorian era of the gold rush times. We celebrate the rich history, architecture and continued entrepreneurial spirit of Woodland’s Main Street district with an event that is both entertaining and educational.
From a historical presentation with Author and historian William Burg, to a haunted history tour, to shopping the local businesses as well as local area artists and makers.
See crafters at their work, making things and doing things as they may have been don’t over 100 years ago. Listen to an old time Barber Shop quartet or to artfully played classical guitar. Enjoy the physical comedy of a clown, and stroll midtown in your finest historical garb.
This walking tour starts at Soul Garden Holistic Healing, where attendees will be given a map and schedule, starting at noon.
Each stop, includes fun, entertainment and shopping along the way!
This event goes till 7pm and the public of all ages is welcome to attend for free!

Practical Magic with Lisa

This three-class series is focused on fundamental energy work with practical applications and positive intent*. It’s non-denominational, meaning everything you learn can easily be tailored to fit your personal pathway/beliefs. Instruction, demonstrations, handouts, and hands-on activities offer basic skills and practices for energetic “housekeeping”, boundary work/protection, and manifestation.

Class One: Cleansing, blessing, and warding
This class includes demonstrations of techniques for energetically cleansing a person, place, or thing using a variety of tools followed by the chance to practice with each other. Cleansing creates a blank slate and nature abhors a vacuum, so blessing what you’ve cleared is an important next step. Warding is the art of setting energetic boundaries; discussion will be followed by hands-on creation of some goodies for your home.
Class Two: Candle Magic
Burn a candle and say a prayer. It’s a time worn practice that can be just this simple, but we’ll be digging deeper. This class covers the basics of color correspondence, astrological timing, and different ways of safely incorporating herbs and essential oils. Inscribing, anointing, dressing, and blessing different styles of candles will be demonstrated, then you’ll create a few of your own to take home.
Class Three: Amulets, Talismans, Charm Bags & Spell Bottles
Manifestation, protection, luck, love, healing; these little spell forms have a myriad of uses. They’re easily customized but are often traditionally associated with certain kinds of magic. We’ll be talking about that, as well as intent and focus, and reviewing some basic herbal and crystal correspondences before the hands-on crafting begins. Once you’ve completed your chosen form, you’ll learn how to charge it – alone at home, or with your classmates as a group.

Their incredible journey led them to an apprenticeship with a Native healer, where they dedicated seven transformative years to honing their healing craft.
